Exporting Alignments to LandXML- CR2601

Introduction

To enable the use of Stationing on inspector mobile devices and to aid in the creation of pavement digital-as-builts, Design will send Alignment Data via LandXML upon the request of Construction.
This wiki will cover how to do this using OpenRoads Designer. If after you go through this wiki in it's entirety you have any questions or issues, please send an email to DOT_CADDSupport@delaware.gov.

Exporting Alignment Data to LandXML

1.1 Go to OpenRods Modeling > Geometry > Import/Export > Export Geometry.

1.2 Set Version to 2.0.
1.3 Check Only Active Profiles. i Keeping this unchecked will not break anything, but Constructions software cannot currently handle it.
1.4 Set Export Type to LandXML.

1.6 Follow the prompts and select the appropriate Alignment(s).
1.7 When prompted, save the file appropriately.
